A Recap of this week’s episode of The Bachelorette

Let’s discuss this weeks episode (week 5) of The Bachelorette, shall we?

Let me start off by saying… I just felt like doing this the entire show.

Bachelorette episode

As I’m sure everyone guessed, last night’s episode was pretty intense and filled with a lot of drama. From the very start of the episode you could almost feel the tension from the men coming through your screen! When Nick first said, “I could be very unwelcome…” I just laughed! Of course he was going to be unwelcome, he’s coming onto the show on Week 5, completely disrupting the show and unnerving the men. No one’s going to like you for that Nick! I know, I know, you had to give it a shot because what if she’s the one for you, but still…there’s going to be some tension with the other guys. I’m sure everyone knew that was coming in this episode anyways.

And then…it continued to get more uncomfortable.

After the, lets call it, standoff in the living room, the men went on a group date (Nick included) where they had to write and sing their own mariachi song. Can I just say that I feel so bad for these guys? I don’t understand why they keep having to make a full out of themselves? How is that attractive? Yea, it’s funny for the people watching on TV, but I would NEVER do any of that stuff (well I’d be okay with last weeks group date where they were on stage dancing and singing but that’s it!)

This is just plain uncomfortable but at least they were a good sport about it!

Kaitlyn goes on a 1-on-1 date with Ben H. (who is adorable!) and it was so cute! It was all Texas themed, since they were in San Antonio. They had the vintage truck, that I was honestly terrified of her driving. I know that’s stereotypical of me to say, specially coming from a woman, but that is a vintage truck! Don’t hurt the truck! They went dancing and had to learn the Two-Step and it was so cute and adorable…right up to the point where she says during the episode that if Ben can’t dance and do this for her than he might not be the right guy. I mean, come on! Some people just naturally have two left feet and can’t dance. If he can’t dance than he’s not for you? That just sounds like something a spoiled girl would say…which she kinda is because of the show…but that’s besides my point.

Now I’m going to skip over some stuff, Ben H. and Shawn BOTH saying they’re falling love with her (NO sweethearts. She’s going to break ya’lls little hearts!), Kaitlyn butchering Nicks hair, freaking out when she thinks that all the guys are lying to her (that was an uncomfortable moment but no one wants to be a tattletale. Not even grown men.) and get down to the main event.

Ian.

OH. MY. GOD.

What was that?! Did I just miss how narcissistic and egotistical he was? He kept complaining about how he’s soooooo much better than all the other guys and how he’s got a higher education and a better job, yada, yada, yada. Shut it Ian. No one cares. But then. Oh man. Then he just lost it. Obviously at this point in the episode he doesn’t care about the show anymore but I just can not believe he said all that to her. There might be a little bit of truth in some of what he said but STILL! You don’t say those things!! He was just a COMPLETE prick.

Total unacceptable. I’m not a fan of Kaityln honestly, I think it was wrong to bring Nick on. She says she already feels all these strong connections for some of the guys already but she still brings him in? Doesn’t seem right. Still…no one deserves to be spoken like that. I’d be furious yea (I’m sure she was furious too) but I’d also be hurt which I imagine we’ll see in next week’s episode.

Got to love her facial expressions though.

Love,

That Bachelorette Show
