Follow these simple steps to throwing the best bachelorette party ever!
- Pick a ridiculous theme – There’s no judgement here. Want to plan a Parisian party, a Disney Princess party? Go for it. Giving your party a theme makes buying favors and choosing games so much easier for the person who is planning. On top of that, it will allow you to come up with some pretty creative outfits to go along with it!
- Put your most organized friend and your most fun friend in charge – Honestly, it’s a two person job. Your organized friend will work out the logistics of the whole thing while your ‘free spirited’ friend will come up with the outrageous ideas to celebrate the upcoming nuptials.
- Think local – Destination parties are fun and great in theory – but can be extremely costly. Your best bet is to go with the city you know. Find a stretch of bars to go to, rent a party bus, go wine tasting, your options are practically limitless after already saving money on not traveling anywhere for the party. In fact, that money you would have spent, had you chosen a destination Bachelorette party, could be put right back into your budget for your local party and make it that much better!
- Ask for discounts – Don’t be shy about this, be shameless! There’s nothing wrong about asking for discounts on everything you plan on doing or anywhere you plan on staying at. Let them know that it’s a Bachelorette party and chances are, each place you visit can help you in some way. If you’re shy or nervous over the concept, call ahead, but honestly you’d be surprised how far businesses will go to get good reviews, a positive reputation, and talked about on social media.
- Plan a Designated Driver – If you’re planning to go out on the town for your party, invite someone along, who doesn’t drink, to act as the unofficial chaperone and make sure you get to each destination, and finally home, safely.
- Pre-game with a signature cocktail – Look online for a cocktail that fits with your theme and pre-game with it before heading out to the bars. This saves you money on drinks in the long run. Ask whoever is mixing the drinks for the pre-game to make them on the weak side and prepare pitchers of it but go heavy on the mixers.
- Have hangover remedies at the ready – A hangover kit is always a good thing to have if there’s any drinking involved. Include a bottle of water, alka seltzer packets, aspirin or tylenol, and anything else you can think of to help the day after. Perhaps some sunglasses?
