Cookies Anyone?

Looking for a fun treat for your Lingerie or Bachelorette Party? Well we’ve got you covered with these awesome cookies!

Now, what could be cuter, or more fun, than cookies shaped like underwear and lingerie?! Okay, I can think of a few things like puppies or kittens, but I’m talking about for a lingerie or bachelorette party. It’s the perfect little treat for the gals! I mean, come on, who doesn’t love a good cookie, especially on a night where you’re meant to spoil yourself!

So, for this week’s DIY Wednesday, we’re going to learn how to make lingerie cookies.

I promise you, it’s not as hard as it looks.

Step One:

Make some sugar cookies! You can make them yourself with a recipe found online OR just buy an already prepared sugar cookie mix from your local grocery store. When you’re preparing to put the cookie dough on your cookie sheet, I’d recommend laying it down as a sheet of dough, instead the normal dollops of dough you would usually place down to make circular cookies, so that it’s easier to create the designs you’ll need. Make sense?

Also, make sure you have some form of cookie cutter. Whether it’s a plain heart shaped cookie cutter, or you can get underwear and corset cookie cutters. You should be able to find, at least, the heart shaped cookie cutter fairly easily but if not, you can find all three on Etsy.

Here are just a few I’ve found in my search for cookie cutters. 

Step Three:

Make the icing for the cookies! *the following recipe will be enough to decorate 1 dozen cookies*

Ingredients:

1 cup confectioners’ sugar

2 teaspoons milk

2 teaspoons light corn syrup

1/4 teaspoon almond extract

assorted food coloring

Directions:

In a small bowl, stir together confectioners’ sugar and milk until smooth. Beat in corn syrup and almond extract until icing is smooth and glossy. If icing is too thick then add more corn syrup. After that, divide the icing into separate bowls where you can add your different food coloring.

Step Three:

Decorate the cookies!

If you decide to opt out of the pre-made underwear cookie cutters, and stick with the heart shaped cutter then fallow these directions. Otherwise, decorate to heart’s content!

For the Bra:

Turn the heart shaped cookies upside down so that the point is facing upwards (making it look somewhat like a neck). Halfway up the cookie make a deep V shape with the icing, coming to a point just above where the heart halves meet. After that, decorate below that V any way you like. Just remember that this portion is the bra

For the Underwear: 

Turn the heart shaped cookies upside down so that the point is facing upwards (making it look somewhat like the hips). draw a curved line with the icing halfway down the cookie. After this, draw another curved line around the circle part of the heart.  Another way to think of it is as a rainbow. Repeat that on the other side of the heart so that you now have the outline of thong underwear and decorate. To create regular underwear (not a thong), draw the same curved line halfway down the cookie and then fill in the bottom half (what would be the top of the heart but is now the bottom) with your decorations.
